ARGOXPS008 (EC_FLAVOR)

Specifies whether your operation uses Equipment Control, and if so, what type.

Values:

ECN4 - (Default) Uses ECN4.

SPARCS_RADIO - Uses XPS Radio Server.

NONE - Uses neither ECN4 nor the Radio Server.

When ARGOXPS008 is set to NONE, the N4 Mobile Hatch Clerk program does not validate the state of the TBD Unit work instructions when loading to a vessel, whereas validation is provided when using ECN4 or the radio server. The default validations are:

  • Whether the container loaded against a planned TBD Unit is routed for the vessel being loaded or if it is reserved for another order.

  • Whether the TBD unit plan is for the vessel being loaded.

  • Whether the slot entered by the hatch clerk is ok for load. For example, whether it is already occupied, empty but planned for another UFV, empty but not planned for any unit (UFV or TBD).

  • Whether the stow factor of the loading container (UFV) matches the stow factor of the TBD Unit against which it is being loaded.

  • Whether the UFV being loaded is swappable with another UFV (using stow factors) which may be arriving later against a different TBD Unit.

  • Whether the UFV is in the yard and the correct Freight Kind, or whether line substitution rules and pooling agreements allow load against the TBD Unit.

  • You can modify the default validations in N4 with the INV_TBD_UNIT_VALIDATION_MERGE code extension type. See Extension Type Registry view and Code Extensions view for more information.

When set to 'ECN4' or 'SPARCS_RADIO',  if the hatch clerk tries to load a unit onto a vessel whose work instruction move state is not "Carry_Complete", the N4 Mobile Hatch Clerk program displays an error that you can override.
